Gospel musician Solomon Molokoane is in desperate need of financial assistance to cover his medical expenses and aid his current condition.
Last week several publications reported that the gospel singer, best known by his stage name, Solly, was hospitalised after falling ill while performing in Botswana for the pre-launch of his new upcoming album, Wubani O zo Pepeza.
It was later revealed that there has been improvement in his health but his condition has now again deteriorated.
In an interview with the news publication, Sunday World, the 64-year-old’s management appealed to the public to assist in any way possible to help keep the musician alive as he is expected to undergo brain surgery.
“Solly Moholo is in the intensive care unit (ICU) right now and doctors have determined that he requires a brain operation.”
“Your help is needed to keep the legend alive during this trying time for his friends, family, and team. I would be grateful for any amount of money,” said a representative.
The family of the singer meanwhile shares that this is a difficult time for them and that their only desire now is to keep their relative alive.
The singer had great ambitions for himself coming into this year. Earlier in the year, he revealed that he had great ambitions of venturing into SA’s newest and most popular genre amapiano.
The motive behind this was to use the genre as a way to reach out to the younger generation by spreading positive messages through his songs.
