Many celebrities, politicians and royalty gathered at Oceans Mall in Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal for the launch of the R600 million Platinum Walk located in the mall.
Sunday World notes that the newly developed wing is a fashion centre and is the first in its province to be home to more than 12 international luxury brands in one place. Brands include Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci and Versace.
Vivian Reddy, billionaire businessman and co-developer of the mall told the publication, “These are international companies investing, which means additional jobs for Durban and surrounding areas.” He also shared that the major development is 100% black-owned, has 65% black tenants and creates at least 1300 permanent jobs for locals.
Vivian’s wife Sorisha Naidoo, star of The Real Housewives of Durban, and their two children were also in attendance.
