It seems that the actor and former Idols SA Judge Somizi Mhlongo is ready to expand his territory when it comes to his most recent adventure – the Sompire fashion brand.
The former Sarafina actor is well known for his go-getting attitude that has never really failed in any of the ambitions he set out for himself.
Towards the end of last year, Somizi announced the release of his first-ever fashion brand for kids, and he has received tons of support.
The only real criticism he received was from the internet who felt that it was cringe for a grown man to have his face on the front of a kid’s apparel. Others also pointed out that the gold and silver colours on the clothing were way too striking and that he needed to include child-friendly colours.
Later the 50-year-old cleared the air stating: “Sompire encourages kids to be themselves. It encourages boldness.
“It mainly revolves around positivity, loving and being confident enough to be who they truly are. Hence the slogan: Brave enough to be yourself.”
Following this, the rest was history.
In February this year, Sompire became available in several stores.
And now he is taking it even further by creating a range for adults.
Taking to his social media account, the former judge previewed the latest apparel for his adult range.
In the short video clip, Somizi can be seen flaunting a Sompire bucket hat and a T-shirt set to be part of his latest collection.
