Just when we thought that we had Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus all figured out, he surprises us with yet another trick up his sleeve.
Known for occupying roles as player, coach, director of rugby, and recently “doctor”, it is safe to say the Springbok mastermind deserves all the accolades that have come his way.
After years of building relationships and a tremendous amount of experience during his time in the rugby fraternity, the double world cup winner is ready to share those stories with some of rugby’s biggest supporters with the launch of his first ever podcast called Rassie+.
The show is a collaboration between Rassie Erasmus and the renowned media network Smash Sports and will see the Bok coach engage in some deep and uncandid conversations with many influential figures who are involved in the gentlemen’s game.
Taking to Instagram, he shared a video clip promoting the show. In the clip, he can be heard saying, “This is my rugby life and all of the stuff around my rugby life. None of this is possible if people did not believe in me.”
About the show, he added: “We want to connect with fans, we want to explain that there are certain things on documentaries that we don’t show. Now we can get even closer to them by telling our stories – and eventually we got this.”

Some guest appearances will include Springbok assistant coaches Mzwandile Stick as well as fellow assistant coach Felix Jones.
The show will officially launch on Friday, 14 March at 15h00 on YouTube.
The announcement comes on the same night that the 52-year-old was awarded the Coach of the Year Award at the 2025 SA Rugby Awards.
