As the world continues to evolve in many ways, so is the world of pageantry. It was recently announced that the Supreme Queen Global Earth Africa has merged with Mrs Globe South Africa.
Supreme Queen Global Earth Africa in association with Mrs Globe SA is a new pageant created with the purpose of providing a platform for all women between the ages of 21-55 years old. It serves as a leadership platform for all women to have a voice and utilise it for causes that impact the nation.
Founder, Cartier Lebatie, says given her experience as Miss Earth Zambia and an entrepreneur in the legal and marketing industries, she always knew that she always wanted to create a space for women.
“I knew I wanted to create space for women in leadership and business to be acknowledged for all they do. Furthermore, creating a platform for African women would further their endeavours and self-development and expand their networks. Supreme Queen Global Earth Africa has been established for this purpose: to provide a leading entrepreneurial and leadership platform for all women aged 21-55 of African descent. It’s a platform to amplify and utilise their voice for causes that impact our nation,” she says.
Supreme Queen Global Earth Africa (SQGEA), has turned the spotlight on African women with a penchant for business and how they positively impact the world.
While expanding the sisterhood among African women, the merger between the two pageantry brands aims to create an even more powerful platform for women of African descent to showcase their talents and skills and promote positive change in their communities, regardless of marital status.
Further, it will retain the core values of both pageants, centring on personal development, business education and empowerment.
SQGEA title holders can also represent South Africa at the Mrs Globe International Pageant going forward.
“Our core belief of “ubuntu” and hope is written upon our DNA. It’s now inspiring the world. Now is the time for African women to own their power for themselves and the world. It’s time for us to embrace that spirit that makes us unique and show the world what we bring to the table when we unite and provide solutions that the world desperately needs,” says Cartier.
