Congratulations are in order to Mpumalanga’s talented Thabo Ndlovu for winning Idol’s season 19 and the last of this global brand that has seen many winners and runner ups realise their singing dreams.
Thabo, aged 26, not only goes down in the history of the show as a winner, he also bags bragging rights for being the last ever Idols winner as the show closes its curtain after 19 seasons.
Held at Johannesburg’s Teatro at Mosaiek, the talented Thabo, now a millionaire competed against fellow province mate Princess MacDonald a favourite among many social media users.
The grand finale of this giant talent show saw performances from legends such as legends such as Babu’ Sipho Hostics Mabuse who set the stage alight with his Burnout medley, Cassper Nyovest with MagleraDoeBoy covered their chat topping 018 song.
More artists included, Vusi Nova who performed Soze Ndixole hit with Eastern Cape based group 047.
Talented media personality, Somphire CEO and Idols judge Somizi brought happiness and joy on stage when he performed Pharell’s Happy song.
Some of the prizes that Thabo will receive include music equipment, a recording deal, a car from Toyota, a clothing voucher from Truworths and many more.
After the Witbank talented singer was announced as the winner, the Idols show shared the news on its social media:
