South African media personality and House of BNG brand owner, Bonang Matheba is said to be returning as the host for this year’s Miss South Africa pageant.
The media personality is no stranger to the Miss South Africa brand as she has successfully hosted the beauty pageant many times.
Last year, Bonang’s MCC brand House of Bonang continued its partnership with the pageant for many years as one of the sponsors. Not only was Bonang one of the judges for the Miss SA Chasers (a reality show with task-driven exercises given to contestants in the build-up to the pageant), but she hosted the finale, giving the brand massive ratings.
The rumours of Queen B returning as a host this year were shared by television presenter Phil Mpela on his X (formerly Twitter) account:
“Bonang to host Miss South Africa 2024. The inimitable Ms Matheba … trust, few have tried but (real talk) she is one for a generation … will return as the host of the Miss South Africa pageant ceremony. The show will air on S3 in August 2024.”

She is one of the best presenters we have in this country. This time, many will watch the show, and the ratings will even go up.

Zozibini Tunzi is the only person to solidly replace this woman, despite the current relationship between @Official_MissSA and @zozitunzi. With that being said, asingeni ndawo.
