The Homecoming! Doja Cat revealed as Hey Neighbour’s 2025 headliner

After keeping attendees in suspense for months on end, the popular Hey Neighbour has upped the ante by revealing that half-South African international superstar Doja Ca will be the headliner for their upcoming festival this August.

As we have stated countless times before, it appears that South Africa has quickly emerged as every artist’s dream concert destination, as various international superstars have made it a point to include mzansi on their travel plans. Recently, Castle Lite revealed that they will be unlocking Travis Scott during his Circus Maximus Tour this October, while Rocking the Daises festival, on the other hand, revealed that R&B princess Summer Walker would be honoured as this year’s headliner.

Attendees who had already purchased their tickets voiced frustration with the festival for their lack of communication regarding their headliner. Hey Neighbour has caused quite a buzz on social media after announcing the one and only Doja Cat as their leading act.

With the aim of turning strangers into ‘neighbours’, the Hey Neighbour festival is a multi-day music and lifestyle event that focuses on celebrating South Africa’s diverse music, culture and community. Taking place at Legends Adventure Farm in Pretoria, the event promises a dynamic and electric line-up made up of our local artists across various genres, such as gqom, hip-hop, amapiano, R&B and afrobeats.

The event debuted just in 2023 and has seen notable headliners such as Kendrick Lamar, Swedish House Mafia, Tyla and Khalid. Hey Neighbour has quickly emerged as one of the bigger and more popular events in the country as attendees could not boast enough about their pleasant experience at the first showing, from the line-up, accommodation and parking logistics, all the way to the overall set-up of the festival.

As expected, social media is currently swarming with users expressing immense excitement and anticipation for this year’s showing. These users wonder how they will manage to gather funds to attend Rocking the Daisies, Travis Scott’s concert, as well as Hey Neighbour as they reveal that they would love to experience each one.
