As the election season comes to a close, South Africa celebrates the inauguration of its 7th democratically elected President. This star-studded affair is where politics meets glamour.
The 2024 Presidential Inauguration’s theme is “30 Years of Democracy: Partnership and Growth,” which, according to the South African Government hub, emphasises the importance of everyone’s involvement in creating a brighter future, with a focus on reducing poverty, inequality, and unemployment by building on past achievements.
Celebrities and members of parliament were in attendance at this celebratory event as President Cyril Ramaphosa was sworn into his second term into office and addressed the nation regarding his vision for his new term.
The who’s who at the Presidental Inauguration 2024:
1. Mmusi Maimane & Nobuntu Hlazo-Webster
BOSA leader Mmusi Maimane and Deputy leader Nobuntu Hlazo-Webster attended the event both dressed in dapper suits.
2. Sihle Zikalala & his wife
Former KwaZulu-Natal premier and Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure Sihle Zikalala was among the attendees alongside his wife who wore a pink dress.

5. President Cyril Ramaphosa and his First Lady
President Cyril Ramaphosa and First Lady and businesswoman Tshepo Motsepe attended as the President accepted his second term as President of South Africa.
