DJ Zinhle recently took to social media to explain to her fans why her song Thula was taken off streaming platforms iTunes and Apple Music.

While the talented DJ said they’re still trying to figure things out, according to ZiMoja, it was revealed by a source close to the publication that Ambitiouz Entertainment might be the one behind the song’s removal.

Thula was released in July and features artist Busisiwe “Cici” Thwala, who, according to The South African, recently parted ways with the controversial record label.

When her departure from the infamous record label was announced in June last year, she had already left the record label a few months prior.

The source close to ZiMoja said, “The exploitation at Ambitiouz Entertainment is only bearable if you are a newcomer in the music industry and you are seeking to make a name for yourself. But the seasoned singers like Cici who just can’t stand it leave the label in great numbers.”

The source further revealed that Amibitiouz Entertainment believes that Cici still owes them an album, despite owning up to her part of the deal.

“Anything she releases will have to go to court until she is free to leave the label,” said the source.

According to the source, they claim that there was a lengthy discussion that took place with DJ Zinhle and Ambitiouz about the song, eventually agreeing to credit the record label on the song.

Thula is back on Apple Music, Spotify and other sites with Ambitiouz as one of the credits.
