This year has been nothing short of amazing for the Bathu founder, Theo Baloyi, who now earned a nod for the Male Entrepreneur of the Year category for the Africa Choice Awards.
The creative genius has been sharing his success through his social media platform, Instagram, in one post he wrote, “From a room in Alex to 11 000sqm headquarters, from one brand to a retail conglomerate.”
This dates back to early this year when the 35-year-old shared that he is thrilled to unveil Bathu Group, a retail conglomerate committed to promoting empowerment and progress while maintaining strict ethical standards.
Theo sure knows how to live up to his slogan, “Walk your journey,” in July he happily announced that he has been elected as a new board member/director for the South African Council of Shopping Centres (SACSC).
“I am looking forward to contributing to the board, implementing ground-breaking solutions that cement the retail landscape as a key contributor to South African society and learning from my fellow members,” he stated.
As previously reported on BONA, the Bathu founder, also recently announced the launch of his 34th store at the Mall of Africa in Waterfall City, Gauteng. Along with that, he posted a few snaps showing off the store’s interior in vibrant red, black, and white colours which provide the store with a touch of the Bathu sneaker itself.
The voting of the first round of the Africa Choice Awards will commence on the 7th of October until the 8th of November 2024. With the second round on November 9th until December 10th.
