The process of healing requires us to remember our loved ones. It allows us to remember the times we had together, honour their lives, and keep their spirits alive. Birthdays act as emotional reminders of the influence they had on our lives.
The kwaito trio, TKZee best understands this sentiment. The group was formed by Kabelo Mabalane, Zwai Bala, and the late Tokollo Tshabalala, popularly known to the public as Magesh.
According to the news publication City Press, Tokollo, renowned for his crafty Kwaito lyrics, tragically passed away on 15 August 2022. “His lifeless body was found at his home after he suffered an epileptic attack.”
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Kabelo and Zwai remembered and celebrated his heavenly birthday as he would have turned 48 years of age this year.
In a post, they wrote:Β “Phiri, Mapetla, Zola, Mdeni! Happy heavenly birthday to the Tsotsi van Tuka! We love and miss you!”
