Trevor Noah has made history by becoming one of the first comedians to be nominated for a prestigious Golden Globe award. The 81st edition of this annual award ceremony, which honours the best in American film and television, will take place in January 2024.
Since relocating to the United States, Trevor has taken his comedic career to the next level. The 39-year-old has built a large fan base since becoming the host of The Daily Show, where he offered his audience a blend of political satire and insightful commentary on important issues affecting the world.
He has also entertained his fans with numerous comedy shows, and even made a cameo appearance in Coming to America 2.
His nomination comes in the category of of Best Performance in Stand-up Comedy on Television for his latest upcoming Netflix special, Where Was I.

This, along with Cinematic and Box Office Achievement in Motion Pictures are two of the latest additions to the category list.
Meanwhile, Where was I, is Trevor’s most recent comedy special on Netflix, directed by David Paul Meyer.
The show depicts the funny and peculiar experiences from his worldwide travels during his Off the Record global stand-up tour. Noah served as the executive producer, along with Derek Van Pelt, Sanaz Yamin, Bob Bain, and Norman Aladjem.
The special was filmed at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, Michigan.
Some of the other nominees include Ricky Gervais, Chris Rock, Amy Schumer, Sarah Silverman, and Wanda Sykes.
