Award-winning comedian Trevor Noah bagged himself a nomination for the upcoming 66th edition of the Grammy Awards set to take place on Sunday, 4 February 2024.
Trevor is no stranger to the prestigious music awards ceremony. He previously hosted the show not once, not twice, but thrice before (2021, 2022 and 2023).
The world-renowned comedian is now receiving a nod from The Recording Academy for his Netflix comedy special, Trevor Noah: I Wish You Would under the Best Comedy Album category.
According to Netflix, the special sees Trevor talking about learning German, speaking ill of the dead, judging people in horror movies and ordering Indian food in Scotland.
Taking to Instagram, the Born A Crime author shared, “This journey called life never ceases to amaze and inspire me. I love stand-up comedy because I cherish nothing more than making people feel good or bringing a smile to someone’s face. To be nominated for a Grammy is a blessing and honour I never expected and truly cherish with all my heart. Thank you to every single one of you who’s been in the audience for these shows, without you there would literally be no show. 🙏🏽.”

Earlier this year, it was also announced that Trevor Noah: I Wish You Would received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Variety Special.
“Wow Having my @Netflix special I Wish You Would nominated for an Emmy is absolutely mind-blowing but to be in the same category as @imcarolburnett, @Lizzo, John @Mulaney, @TheNormanLear, & @iamwandasykes? How is this life? Thank you so much to everyone who watched and everyone who voted,” he previously wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
