According to some Mamelodi Sundowns opps and foes, Mpumalanga club TS Galaxy has done the Lord’s work by handing the Brazilians their first loss in October 2024.
With the help of their owner’s deep pockets, the Mamelodi Sundowns team and coaching staff have worked tirelessly to become notable contenders in domestic and international soccer. They are currently reaping the fruits of their labour as they currently top the BETWAY Premier Soccer League (PSL), enjoying a nine-point cushion over runner-ups Orlando Pirates.
After enjoying an unusually long streak of games with no losses, TS Galaxy managed to do what many teams before them have struggled to do, which is handing the Mamelodi side a loss. Those who are familiar with the bible would compare the feeling of this achievement to when David shocked the world and defeated Goliath.
The game was characterised by a cool and composed performance from coach Adnan Beganovic’s side as they managed to convert in the 44th minute of the game, leading to a 1-0 victory over the Sundowns.

According to these users, Masandawana were long overdue for some humble pie, as some of their supporters had become ungovernable.

As Carrey Bradshaw said: “The best you can do is breathe and reboot”, which is exactly what Masandawana need to do as they look on to their next match-up, a Nedbank Cup round of 16 clash against Mpheni Home Defenders, which they are likely confident to come away with a win.
