Grammy awarding-winning singer Tyla has announced the cancellation of her world tour and Coachella dates due to an agonising injury.
The 22-year-old recently released a statement on her Instagram account detailing that she has been silently suffering from an injury for the past year.
The singer was expected to start her European tour, kicking off her first show in Oslo, Norway. As stated on her tour dates, she was going to perform in several other cities, including Stockholm, Copenhagen, Berlin, Cologne, Paris, Amsterdam, and London.
Tyla was also planning to launch her North American tour in San Francisco after completing her European tour. The tour was scheduled to cover 18 different venues and run until May.
It was revealed earlier this year that she had been scheduled to perform at the Coachella Valley Music Festival. Unfortunately, the performance had to be cancelled due to her injury.
In the statement released on Instagram, she said that ticket buyers would get their refunds.
“Y’all still gonna see me around Tygers (a name she calls her fanbase) so don’t worry too much… just know when I’m back to performing pain-free, I’m gonna be even more of a problem. It’s hard having to turn down opportunities you’ve been waiting your whole life for but God has his plan.”

Many Instagram users took to the comment section to send the singer well wishes.
Her younger sister Sydney Seethal posted two heat emojis which many use as a representation of love.
One user commented: “Here’s to a comfy and brisk recovery Lady Ty.”
Amapiano artist Lady Du said, “God will restore. We love you sis. You’ll be back in no time. Get well soon.”
Singer Nandi Madida commented: “We love you! Get better! Your health is more important. God wants you to soar even higher when you’re healed, superstar.”
