The Grammy award-winner was announced as the Global Icon recipient for 2024 at the 18th annual Metro FM Awards.
The award show, which was hosted by ProVerb and LootLove, recognised the singer and songwriter for her significant contribution to the music industry worldwide. Despite being nominated for six awards, Tyla’s music and dance moves have captivated many listeners at just 22 years old. She collaborated with many brands and made a name for herself in the industry.
Tyla recently released a self-titled album and announced that she would be pulling back from her world tour due to an injury. However, despite this setback, the singer and songwriter still managed to secure the 24th spot on the U.S. Billboard 200.
