Summer is officially upon us, this means that so many of us would like to remove all the layered clothing and show off some flesh as we soak in the sun or get involved in an array of water activities.
In order to do so though, it’s worth noting that many people would prefer being in perfect shape to flaunt their bodies on our local beaches. One person who knows all about this is the renowned singer and former judge of the singing competition, South African Idols Unathi Nkayi.
When she is not attending glamorous events, and rubbing shoulders with the whose who of the entertainment world, the prominent musician spends a considerable amount of time in the gym and balances her life with a healthy diet.
Those following her on her social media platforms have had a first-hand glance into her life of health and wellness as she transformed her body into tip-top shape.
With the warmer season approaching, Unathi recently revealed that many have been asking her for advice on how to shred their unwanted weight before December.
Taking to Instagram she gave some of her devoted followers an update on how this can be achieved.
In a post which accompanies a picture showing her before and after starting her training, she wrote:
“I’m being asked a lot to share my tips on how I shred the weight when I need to.”
Unathi highlights that the first thing she does is to show people how big she was, later she encourages people that if this is a journey they wish to pursue, they should then remain committed and consistent.

“Promise yourself that you will work out a minimum of twice a week until 31 December and we have a deal. The weeks you have more energy and time, put more hours in to make up for the weeks you can only do two hours.”
She recommends starting the day by eating protein like eggs, fish, chicken and avocado.
Unathi highlights the importance of knowing that in order to get to the body you want it requires commitment both in and outside of the gym.
“The flat stomach is achieved in the kitchen and the abs in the gym,” she revealed.
