Praises have been pouring in for Uncle Waffles after her outstanding Coachella set.
Coachella is an International annual music and arts festival. Uncle Waffles performed amongst the world’s biggest musicians at the world’s biggest and most famous music and arts festivals which took place this past weekend in California.
The music festival features a wide range of artists that cuts across plenty of genres including Afrobeat, house, Soulful, EDM, Hip-hop and most recently Amapiano. The Tanzania hit maker was the first ever Amapiano female DJ to perform at the festival.
The Amapiano sensation got her big break from a viral video back in October 2021. Since then she has worked her brand and DJing skills to become one of the most booked and busy Amapiano exports from the country.
The star has been trending on social media after the Coachella twitter account gave the DJ her flowers for her stellar performance during her Coachella set.
Many South African artists and supporters are proud to see the 22 year old do so well professionally and many have been praising her on social media all weekend. This is what some of them had to say:
“Seeing stars in Sonora @unclewaffffles,” Coachella tweeted.

Uncle waffles on Coachella proves that you don’t need a ton of features or your music in english to go international. Just strong, consistent music.
