Moja Love channel continues to trend for their “distasteful content” as the viewers refer to it on one of their programs Isencane Lengane.
This programme made the headlines for its gender based violence scenes, where a boyfriend called Siyacela Dlamuka was physically and mentally abusing his girlfriend Thando Msomi on a pre recorded episode of the show. Viewers called out the producers for not stopping the situation and questioned them as to why they played graphic scenes on Tv.
The following week, the channel did a continuous episode of the same cast allowing Siyacela to speak out about his actions and for the family to come and intervene.
Although, Siyacela publicly said on his diary that he doesn’t believe in solving a relationship between two people, his girlfriend persuaded him to see a therapist of the show:
Siyacela is beyond intervention, he needs to be behind bars not therapy. He says this lady is just saying what she thinks he doesn’t see any wrong with what he has done. He interrupts the therapist and Thando when she talks. He even the session in progress #isencaneLengane pic.twitter.com/kHr0kcEACP

Some viewers called for Siyacela to be arrested for his actions against Thando and were furious that Moja Love have allowed him screen time:
@CollinsMduduzi -“The only interview Siyacela must be doing is with members of the South African Police Service. What nonsensical PR is this”
@AzariaKhoza – “Knowing Siyacela…He never apologized to anyone. This interview is damage control. Probably the Chanel wanted to pull the plug on this show. Siyacela has never explained himself to anyone”
@Sanele_Nathi – “This was a PR disaster from Moja Love, trying to change a narrative with someone who isn’t remorseful?”
However, the channel hasn’t responded to the public about the dissatisfaction the viewers shared on social media about the continuous gender based violence actions displayed on the channel.
