It is no secret that the Uthando Nes’thembu team have cracked the formula when it comes to providing quality reality television in mzansi. As season 8 progresses, viewers have made it clear that a reunion is the only thing needed.
Although they have been around for the past seven seasons, no one could have prepared the country for what the Mseleku family have had in store for their viewers this season. It appears that when sitting down and deciding what would be on the table, the conclusion was bringing nothing but spice and drama, as every episode has had viewers gasping in shock and disbelief.
As more drama continues to unfold, viewers have made it clear that watching two weekly episodes has proven to not be enough to put their anticipation at ease, and the only plausible solution would be to go join the complicated dynamic in Mzumbe and watch everything unfold in person. This season has been characterised by a change in attitude from the Mseleku wives, as they have begun to speak up and stand up against their husband, which the audience loves to see. This change comes at an interesting time, as the family attempts to navigate the arrival of Samke Khwela, who is set to be Musa’s fifth wife.
Wife number two, Nokukhanya Yeni aka MaYeni has emerged as a fan favourite as she has swapped her incessant focus on Candy Crush to put consistently call her husband to order, with her latest performance coming as Musa cunningly tried to introduce Samke as the fifth wife to the Mseleku family at large.
Mayeni killed when she said,”uyadlala lento ayishoyo ifana nento eyiJoke.” 🤣🤣🤣 #UthandoNesithembu #Uthandonesthembu pic.twitter.com/mDTrRgi6zy

Musa’s health and the reason behind him falling ill have also been a major talking point throughout the season, and the polygamist has been set in trying to pin this on his wives’ sudden confidence and audacity to stand up against him. The first wife Busisiwe Cele aka MaCele on the other hand has garnered some side-eyes from viewers as they believe that she cannot be trusted based on her continuing to ‘suck up’ to her husband.
After being treated to drama-filled episodes all season long, viewers have come to the conclusion it is in the production team’s best interest to include a reunion episode at the end of this season, as it is the only way to correctly debrief and clarify everything that occurred throughout.
