Veteran actor Vusi Kunene, popular for his role as Jack Mabaso on Generations has reportedly left his role as Funani Zwide on the e.TV show ‘House of Zwide’.
According to TiemNews, the actor has decided to take a break from acting. A trusted source revealed to the publication that the actor feels as though the timing is right for him to take a step back from his career.
“He’s taking a break from acting because he feels it’s time to take a break from the small screen… He wants to take things easy and relax because he realises he’s not getting any younger,” the source reveals.
It has not been confirmed whether the actor’s departure is a permanent one or not, however, the door has been left open should he wish to do so. Furthermore, it is not yet certain whether the character will be replaced or not at the moment.
Entertainment commentator Jabulani Macdonald also announced on X (formally Twitter) regarding the actor’s departure. He revealed that Vusi had already wrapped up all of his shootings for the new season of House of Zwide.

Some watchers of the show did not hold back in criticising the direction of the show, claiming that it might be time for everyone to wrap it up. “The whole show must wrap it up..it has lost its direction…” one user comments.
It seems this sentiment is shared by many more watchers who responded to the comment.
