Twitter users were left stunned and convinced that Shaka iLembe was one of the hottest programs to air on TV after the debut of veteran actor Vusi Kunene as the King of the Tsonga.

The cast of the drama series boasts award winning veteran actors such as Vusi Kunene, Dawn Thandeka King, Sthandiwe Kgoroge, Nomzamo Mbatha, Wiseman Mncube, Mondli Makhoba, Abdul Khoza to name a few.

Viewers spoke of the actor’s versatility and were shocked at his ability to bled in any role that he takes, as if it was designed for him. Refusing to call him by his real name, Twitter users made the former Generations actor trend complimenting him on his role and his Tsonga fluency, Tweeps addressed Vusi on his Generation character name Jack Mabaso.

They shared:

“In grade 6, we went on a school trip, and we saw Vusi Kunene (then, Jack Mabaso) play Aladdin at the Johannesburg Civic Theatre. Today, I watched him kill it as a Shangaan King. He only ever shocks us with talent and versatility. Hats off to him!!”
