Award-winning Afro-pop singer Vusi Nova who recently re-introduced himself as S’Nova felt the need to dismiss reports of him being involved in a car crash as the news affected his loved ones.
The false reports that were spread on social media implied that the Asphelelanga hitmaker escaped death following a horrific car accident at the weekend.
Speaking to TshisaLive, Vusi said he is heartbroken about rumours claiming he was in a car crash. The singer said that this resulted in unnecessary panic, and calls of concern coming from family and friends.
“People are malicious, I’ve been receiving calls from my friends locally and internationally checking how I’m doing since I was involved in a car accident. This thing is nonsense, it’s sad, I’m just thinking about my family.
“Imagine being involved in an accident, which you were not, it’s not funny. It’s like declaring a person dead while they are not. I assure my fans I’m doing well and there wasn’t an accident,” said Vusi.
The musician survived an accident earlier this year with his bodyguards, while they were on their way to a gig in the Vaal, coming from Somizi Mhlongo’s 50th birthday celebration at Sun City.
Vusi told News24 then that: “When I left my friends at Sun City, at no point was I thinking that it could be the last time that I see them.
“This got me thinking life is too short, guys. So, the people you say you love, don’t take them for granted,” he said.
