It is all systems go for actor Vuyo Dabula, as the former Generations: The Legacy star has admitted to being in a much better condition following a shooting incident he was involved in, in 2022.

In his interview with the publication, he shared that a lot of his 2023 was spent on recovery and also rediscovering himself and new passions that he found a liking in, this included getting involved in advertising.
“Funnily enough, I started my career doing ads as a model before gravitating towards full-time acting. I have also been focusing on recovering mentally and spiritually from that horrible near-death experience. It has been a good year so far, with much introspection and self-care,” he explained.
With one’s role in the entertainment industry often being quite demanding, the amount of time that actors and musicians spend with their families is often limited.
However, Vuyo added that his recovery was a blessing in disguise as it allowed him to foster a closer relationship with his loved ones including his son.
“The entertainment and film industry can be demanding. So having this time to solidify and anchor relationships has been invaluable.”
While he may be excited to hit the ground rolling when it comes to getting new roles, he says that being connected to his family is something he intends to keep on doing.
“I allocate time for myself and ensure I attend to important relationships, which empower and strengthen me. My support system is crucial to my best work. I make sure I am not overbooked and communicate consistently with people around me about my schedule.”
