Model and actor, Vuyo Dabula popular for the role of Kumkani ‘Gadaffi’ Phakade on Generations: The Legacy is back on screens following his one-year break due to gun violence.
This time Vuyo will play the character of Saul alongside Melusi Mbele, Katlego Danke, Zinhle Mabena and Tshepo ‘Howza’ Mosese on the upcoming thriller movie titled The Butcher’s Soul, which will be streamed on Showmax once released.
The film directed by Kagiso Samuel Leburu is set against a backdrop of a butcher who is granted seven days by the angel of Death to bring her the guilty souls in exchange for his daughter’s life after his family suffered a deadly attack.
Vuyo recently took to his Instagram page to share the trailer of The Butcher’s Soul, captioning his post: “Imagine bathi (they say) Skhova is after you, bumper to bumper. Where do you run to? Stream The Butcher’s Soul on Showmax 2 August.”

The Butcher’s Soul will be available to stream on Showmax from the 2nd of August.
In an interview with GQ, Vuyo revealed that he spent a good part of 2023 recovering from a gunshot wound.
“I was a victim of gun violence in December 2022, so much of 2023 was focused on my recovery. I’ve also been hitting gym quite hard, and I’m now fully recovered.
“Professionally, after recovering, I played the lead in an amazing ad for SunBet, it was an amazing experience since I hadn’t done an ad in a while,” he said.
