American actor Anthony Anderson shared his experience in Cape Town with American late-night talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel.
Known for his role in the American television series Black-ish, the star has spent the last six months in the mother city working on his most recent film, G20, starring Viola Davis and Anthony Starr.
Anthony sat down with Jimmy Kimmel on his late-night talk show and spoke about his experience in the city and his love for the people there. The actor was heard saying, “I love the people in Cape Town, I had a great time in Cape Town, and looking forward to going back soon.”
During his time in the city, multiple images of the actor in Rands, Khayelitsha made its rounds across social media platforms, prompting Capetonians to question why the actor was still in the city.
Capetonians had a field day speculating the reasons why he was still in the city, some alluding to rumours that the actor had lost all of his money and was unable to leave the country. Others speculated that he must have fallen in love.
The Black-ish star seemingly joked about how he had been in South Africa for so long that he even received citizenship.
