South African influencer, Lasizwe Dambuza and actress Minnie Dlamini went out together on the latest episode of Awkward Dates.
Lasizwe launched the new candid segment on his YouTube channel and has gone on a number of dates with some high-profile South African celebrities such as Mmusi Maimane, Mihlali Ndamase, Khanyi Mbau and Ntando Duma.
Minnie was the latest guest on the show and the two spoke candidly about a range of topics, including their love types while they enjoyed laughs and good food. The two laughed loudly as they reliased they both said they big, strong men as their lovers.
As the date went on, the two spoke about their future endeavours and got personal in the questions they asked, getting to know each other and learn about each other.
The date ended with Lasizwe asking for Minnie’s number and when he tried to phone it, he thought the phone went straight to voice mail. A random voice answered that left both Minnie and Lasizwe shocked, with Lasizwe saying she gave her the wrong number, which she continually questioned.
Lasizwe’s new segment started a few months after he made a tearful announcement that he was leaving YouTube, The Citizen reported.
“Making this video has been so difficult for me as YouTube is my first home. Thank you to everyone who has supported and helped me grow in my YouTube journey, but it’s time we say goodbye to this chapter, and let’s make room for a new era.”
“I think we all saw it coming. Last year, I hit the brick wall. I became so depressed I landed up in hospital. I had a mental breakdown, and I decided to choose myself. Not knowing how I’m going to sustain myself, not knowing how I’m going to live it was tough. I decided to stop doing YouTube for a year to figure out what was going on with me. Learning that I’ve grown, and you have watched me grow.” he added.
