Naledi Aphiwe Mnyongwane is the South African social media sensation who went viral for her singing. The vocally talented KwaZulu-Natal high school scholar captured the hearts of many with her voice in a clip that went viral.
In the video, Naledi is seen and heard leading her classmates in a song they were singing while in class. Naledi connected with many viewers as she conveyed deep emotions that left many feeling emotional and touched.

It was until the video clip reached the globally recognised international artist, Chris Brown that Naledi rose to prominence. Chris saw this talent and used part of the video clip as a sample in one of his songs, Shooter. Since then, many people have congratulated this young artists sharing their joy and pride over this achievement.
Following the feature, the rising star has featured on multiple interviews. When asked what her intentions were with the money she received from this feature in an interview with Gagasi FM – a radio station broadcasting in Durban and surrounding areas of KZN – the vibrant Naledi shared that she wanted to save the money for higher education to be able to pay for her university fees. From this comment, many noted that she took her education seriously and was looking forward to excelling and accomplishing a higher education qualification.
The young artist has received support from South Africans. This week, South African gqom hitmakers, Bello no Gallo paid her a surprise visit at her school to give the young artist flowers. The gqom duo did this gesture of kindness stating that Naledi deserves to be applauded after the huge accomplishment she obtained and further wished her the best on her future endeavors.
