For some, fame comes with the pressure to be in the public eye and unexpected fan proposals. In the case of Grammy winner Tyla, the singer experienced something similar when put on the spot while live-streaming with popular online personality Kai Cenat.
Tyla was the latest celebrity guest to appear on Kai’s Twitch livestream, bringing in a whopping 150,000 viewers. During their time together, Kai and Tyla partook in some viral dances – such as the Water choreography – and played a few games, including Truth or Dare (the name of one of Tyla’s songs).
One of the prompts even saw Kai ask Tyla to go on a date with him.
Before asking Tyla, viewers first urged Kai to ask his friend Zoe (who he sees as a sister!) on a date. After making the phone call, Kai was quickly rejected.
“You friend-zoned her? Hayi,” said the Getting Late singer to Kai.
This then motivated the award-winning streamer to ask the one and only Tyla.
“So, I can’t do Zoe, so the only option is Tyla. Would you like to go on a date with me?” asked Kai.
The singer shyly responded, “Are you asking for real? Don’t do that … On a whole live thing!” It seemed Tyla was now the one putting Kai in the friend zone as she stated to him, “But we’re friends though.”
