In South Africa, April Fool’s Day is not as heavily celebrated as it is overseas, making it much easier for our loved ones to pull their stunts on us. This year, media mogul Somizi Mhlongo and singer-songwriter Vusi Nova partook in the foolery after Somizi made Vusi pay for a prank he pulled.
Vusi made his bodyguard call Somizi and tell him to go to the police station. “Vusi was fighting with someone, and he stabbed them so now we are here at the police station,” lied the bodyguard.
While sharing the video on his Instagram page, Vusi also explained that out of shock, Somizi called all his friends and had everyone in panic mode.

A lot of social media users were amused by Somizi’s reaction to the prank but also worried about his revenge which did not take long for him to seek.
Taking to Instagram, Somizi wrote, “I dealt with @vusinova1 accordingly. He pranked me yesterday and I’m going to make sure he pays for it, literally.” The well-known choreographer shared a video of himself on the phone with Vusi, asking him to send him an eWallet of R1000.
After ending the call, Somizi said, “I will call him again when he is done. I am giving away this R1000 to anyone who is going to catch the pin first.”

With the giveaway not working because Vusi had sent the money to Somizi’s personal number which he could not give out to his followers, he then decided to buy airtime worth R1000 that Vusi sent.
