The Double World Cup winning Springboks Siya Kolisi and Ox Nche have been making the most of their time in Europe ahead of their upcoming game against Welsh team Cardiff.
It is not often that one gets two witness some of the world’s biggest sporting figures assume the role of the “fan boy” when meeting other prominent athletes, however, when it comes to the English side Liverpool, the Springbok captain is all in.
The father of two has always been the kind of person to wear his heart on his sleeve when it comes to expressing how big of a fan he was of the club.
However, it was not until after meeting the club’s former coach Jurgen Klopp, in 2019, that his relationship with the club quickly evolved into a closely knitted one.
In an interview Jurgen described himself and Siya being close friends. The two first met in Cape Town shortly after the Rugby World Cup success, where the two were introduced to one another through Jurgen’s manager whom Siya contacted since he was too nervous to approach the coach himself.
“Siya saw me at the time, I didn’t know that Siya was a Liverpool supporter. But then my agent Mike called, and he confirmed that he also knew Kolisi. Since then, I’ve been really into rugby,” Jurgen shared.

Their friendship has seen the Bok captain visit the club and meet its players on numerous occasions – this time he took fellow teammate Ox along to enjoy the ride.
Taking to Instagram the two can be seen snapping some pictures near the pitch side before linking up with football player Cole Palmer and British rapper Central Cee. Later Ox shared a picture showing off his Liverpool gift bag.

Meanwhile, Ox was not the only one to receive some spoils. This comes as a British creator took the initiative of designing Siya his own custom-made reversable Liverpool/Springbok bucket hat.
