YOUNG, FAMOUS AND AFRICAN ends with long-awaited Naked DJ proposal to Karleigh Schwark

Showmax’s highly popular reality TV show YOUNG, FAMOUS AND AFRICAN has wrapped up its third season, and the story on everyone’s lips is Naked DJ’s shocking but long-awaited proposal to long-term partner Kayleigh Schwark.

YOUNG, FAMOUS, AND AFRICAN is a reality TV show that follows some of Africa’s biggest names and provides a glimpse into the lives of the continent’s favourite figures. As expected, the season is filled with chaos and intense drama as the group navigates their relationships with each other. 

Besides genuine concern for Nigeria’s media personality Annie Idibia’s mental and emotional state, one of the biggest talking points among viewers is Naked DJ’s unexpected proposal to his long-time girlfriend Kayleigh Schwark, who has expressed frustration with her man’s hesitance to commit to her since the first season of the show.

After plenty of conversations and essentially an ultimatum, the final episode saw Naked Dj tapping into his ‘lover boy’ era to treat an unsuspected and frankly annoyed Kayleigh to an intimate set-up at home, where he popped the question that Kayleigh has been waiting and wanting to hear for a while now.

Taking to their Instagram, the couple confirmed that the rumours that broke last week regarding their engagement were indeed true. This makes Naked DJ finally ready to show his commitment to Kayleigh after seeming like he would never be ready to take that step.

Due to Naked’s behaviour and words in the past three seasons of the show, viewers have expressed a lack of trust that the DJ will follow through with his proposal, and believe that the proposal might last as long as their almost four-year-long relationship. According to these users,

Conversely, other viewers have defended him, citing the failure of his previous marriages and relationships. These users believe that Naked’s fear and hesitance to commit to Kayleigh through marriage are understandable, as he fears another divorce.
