Multi award winning singing sensation Bulelwa Mkutukana famously known as Zahara has reportedly been hospitalised after suffering liver complications. This is said to have happened a week ago in Johannesburg.
News publication Zimoja shared these news adding that the Lizalise Idinga Lakho singer had to be moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after her condition worsened while at the hospital.
The Eastern Cape born super star is loved by many for her award winning hits that she has produced which include Loliwe, a song that shot her straight to stardom, Phendula, Mgodi and many more.
Her grounded nature and love for her roots have stood out the most throughout her singing career.
According to a source close to the family member the singer’s liver “is severely scarred and she may need a liver transplant”, adds the above mentioned publication.
Her family is also said to have gone to Joburg to be with her during this time.
The publication also adds that the source revealed that Zahara’s family is trying to gather funds for more procedures as the musician doesn’t have medical aid.
As the news of the singer’s health scare reached social media, many social media users commented sending their get well soon messages.
The news were also shared by content creator @NalaThokozane on X (former Twitter) who said:
