Name a better combo than December and new music. Upholding the standard procedure of bringing us fresh sounds and bangers this festive is the Osama and Imali hitmaker, Zakes Bantwini.
While the South African singer and producer has been stating that he has been in “album mode” many thought the album would perhaps drop late December. It was until the artist shared he was seeking for the individual behind one of the most viral sound clips as he has used his sound in his new album and would like to credit him.
In the same post, Zakes dropped the name of the new upcoming album ‘The star is reborn’.

It was at this moment that Mzansi alluded that the star would be dropping the album quite soon.
Upon breaking the news of the release date, Zakes took to Instagram to share his Spotify Wrapped compilation. According to Spotify – a digital music service – Spotify Wrapped is a platform whereby each listener and artists receive personalized offers from their top artists.
The Spotify Wrapped results provided a compilation of factors such as how many Spotify users steamed his music, the hours spent listening to his music, the amount of times listeners saved his music and so forth. To many artists this is a huge success as it gives them a summary of their music activity on one of the most recognized music streaming platforms.
In the post, Zakes thanked his supporters stating that he was “extremely grateful and thankful for all the support and love from my listeners and everyone who has made this dream possible.” He further made mention of the album release date and said “my new album – The star is reborn is out on Friday and I can’t wait for you guys to hear this offering.”
