Producer and singer Zakes Bantwini is over the moon after he bagged his first Grammy win.
Zakes, Wouter Kellerman and vocalist Nomcebo Zikode won the Best Global Music Performance award for their hit Bayethe at the 65th annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, California.
Zakes took to his social media to thank everyone who has supported him saying:
“Took me 15 years to find my path, I stayed true to myself & my dreams, despite all the hardships that presented themselves. I have no words to express the emotions and grace that have come over me. This moment is owed to my late Mother and Father. Your efforts, sacrifices and lessons you handed down brought out the very best in me. I’m grateful…”, he wrote on his Instagram timeline.

Nomcebo also took to her social media to celebrated with her fans here what she say to say while capturing the post:
“Look at God!!! From Hammarsdale to the world! I never imagined that God would take me to such heights and platforms!,” she wrote on her Instagram timeline.

Wouter also celebrated the big win by posting on his Twitter saying:

Zakes, Wouter and vocalist Nomcebo were honoured on Saturday at an African nominees brunch at Spring Place in Beverly Hills hosted by Guba Enterprises to celebrate outstanding individuals from Africa.
“Being in LA for the Grammys and being able to network and connect with other fellow African artists, music executives and entrepreneurs is such an amazing thing.
“I’ve been busy here with meetings with music executives, taking part in a Grammy Week panel discussion at the Grammy Museum, and later today I’m going to the studio to do some song programming and writing music, and of course getting ready for the big night,” Zakes said at the event.
