After experiencing traumatic acne at the age of 16 that could only be alleviated through using organic and indigenous plants, Didintle Moreki founded Organic Naturals Skincare in 2019 to help and empower other African women and men on their skincare journey.
Didintle explains to BONA that her Botswana brand, Organic Naturals Skincare, is based on the procurement of natural and plant-based raw materials from local enterprises that are female-led.
“I often believe Organic Naturals Skincare was born out of my grandmother’s obedience, her obedience to teach me about the power of indigenous plants and how she used to harvest them to benefit her skin,” shares the 27-year-old businesswoman. She adds, “I had been to that dermatologist room, I still was not finding a solution I needed. My grandmother handed me an old bottle of morula oil and taught me what she used to do.”
Didintle also explains that after multiple rounds of dermatological help, she was exhausted from searching for a solution to fight acne. “My personal journey and struggles with skincare issues provided the initial spark for this endeavour. I knew I couldn’t be the only one facing these challenges, and that realisation fueled my passion to find a sustainable solution.”
Didintle shares that her brand has also launched at Faithful To Nature – a company that gives people access to honest, affordable and ethical products.
“The collaboration between Organic Naturals Skincare and Faithful to Nature is rooted in their shared values and dedication to ethical practices. It’s a union of two brands passionate about promoting conscious consumer choices and fostering a more sustainable, eco-conscious world,” notes Didintle.
“As Organic Naturals Skincare launches its barsoap range, body care products, and facial serums at Faithful to Nature, customers can now access these exquisite, ethically-crafted skincare products with ease.”
Sharing her vision with BONA, Didintle concludes, “My vision is to see Organic Naturals Skincare grow into a sustainable enterprise that not only empowers women but also contributes to environmental conservation and reduces waste in landfills.”
