Since Ricky “Rikhado Makhado” Rick’s terrible death one year ago, Cotton Fest, his well-liked festival, has continued to receive unending support from his followers.
People from all walks of life poured into the streets of Johannesburg to honor his legacy, bringing Newtown to life throughout the weekend with all kind of entertainment. The event was filled with memorable moments, including the emotionally charged tribute to Ricky along with the artists who also reminded the crowd how incredible the music star was.
In true Ricky fashion, celebrities and festival goers were dressed impeccably and embodied the term ‘cotton eaters’ as they were fondly referred to by the late musician.

Musican and presenter, Nomuzi Mabena popularly known as Moozlie was the host for the event and served some incredible looks. Dubbing herself as the ‘Head Girl” she wore a school uniform inspired outfit and definitely looked the part.
