The fashion shows displayed creativity, spotlighting designers from 11 diverse nations against the majestic backdrop of Moscow’s historical architecture. With each strut down the runway, the designers artfully infused their collections with the essence of their homelands, weaving together threads of cultural heritage and individual flair. From the sleek sophistication of Chinese brand 陳宇CHNNYU to the vibrant energy of South African designer, David Tlale, and the avant-garde stylings of Lucas Leão, the runway became a canvas for global expression, showcasing a kaleidoscope of talent and innovation.
Also included was a business programme that boasted 40 sessions, featuring an impressive lineup of more than 200 speakers from across the globe. Participants addressed the most pressing matters in the fashion industry, including international cooperation, entrepreneurship, and technological innovation.
Among the illustrious lineup were brands such as riteshkumar, KHANIJO, and Naushad Ali, each contributing their distinct voice to the symphony of style. From the intricate detailing of Shruti Sancheti’s designs to the bold statements of Batakovic Belgrade and the avant-garde creations of Arzu Kaprol, the runway became a melting pot of creativity, where boundaries blurred and imagination knew no limits.
Designer Alexandra Gapanovich’s comment of cultural appropriation resonated with some of the designers and fashion buyers. Alexandra remarked: “It is very important that the European world paid attention to this. First of all, we must respect other people’s culture. I think that this is primarily about respect, about dignity and focus. As a designer, I don’t like that they won’t let me find inspiration in other cultures. It limits me as an artist. I wish I could look for inspiration in Indian culture, African culture, Russian culture, or whatever I saw yesterday. This is very important to me.”

Nadezhda Abzaeva – founder of ABZAEVA brand, echoed the sentiments and added that creativity and culture should co-exsist. “Hybrid mentality, I mean, when we explore ourselves by means of art, when we turn to our roots and genes, and history, is when we establish a connection that doesn’t promote separation but helps us find something in common.”
Beyond the spectacle of fashion, the summit served as a catalyst for collaboration and connection. Attendees seized the opportunity to forge meaningful relationships, exchanging ideas and insights that transcended geographical borders. It also served as a platform to foster a spirit of camaraderie, igniting partnerships and paving the way for future collaborations that promise to shape the landscape of fashion.
As the lights dimmed on the final runway show and the echoes of applause faded, the attendees departed with more than just memories—they carried with them a renewed sense of purpose and possibility.
In the heart of Moscow, amidst the whirlwind of fashion, participants witnessed the transformative power of creativity and community, leaving indelible marks on the fabric of the industry.
