The pageant is also centred at confronting femicide and gender-based violence issues while promoting women’s independence financially and emotionally.
This initiative is seen by many as a chance to fulfil a dream of being in a pageant that they never got to have.
The pageant gives a platform to unmarried mature women, who advocate for the good in societies while remaining beautiful and fashion-forward. They also aim to show young women that being unmarried does not stop a person’s ability to live a good life and be successful.
The beauty queen hopefuls range from ages 25 to 50, with many being single mothers of one and more.
The event’s host, Sebasa Mogale, promises viewers an exciting, fun-filled evening. Judges include actor Vuyo Dabula, Miss Bachelorette SA 2021 winner Khayakazi Koto, businesswoman Mankoana Nhlebela, Dr Tebogo Lerutla and civil engineer and businesswoman Dikeledi Maboa.
Musician Vusi Nova will be there to entertain the crowd with his lovely vocals.
As last year’s winner Mbali Mbanjwa will be saying goodbye to her crown, one of the sixteen beautiful queens will begin her journey as a crown holder.
