Spring is around the corner, and fashionistas are transitioning to vibrant pieces suitable for the upcoming season. Before we decide what should go and stay this season, it’s important to understand that certain pieces are not going to work for these cooler conditions coming ahead.
A change of season requires a change of wardrobe or just better styling, as looks that worked in the previous season might not work now.
Fashion hubs provide a list of items you want to keep and lose this spring season:
INS:
- Relaxed jeans: If you still wear skinny jeans in 2024, kindly throw them away, as tight-fitting clothes aren’t always a good look for some people. This item has a versatility to it whether it’s denim or not it can be worn on various occasions.
- Ballet flats: These shoes are making a comeback into the fashion space as it reminds some people of plumps they used to wear in the early 2000s. Beauty hub, Looks by Lilli adds that when wearing these flats you should look to match them with a more modern fabric.
- Polo match aesthetic: Similar to the athleisure aesthetic look, where you match your everyday looks with sporty pieces, the above-mentioned hub states that this look is an in this season as people are matching it using vibrant and trendy looks.
- Kitten heels: If you are not a fan of high heels and stilettos, kitten heels are your pick, as they can be worn with absolutely everything.
OUTS:
- Waterfall cardigans: Don’t get me wrong, cardigans are great, but the waterfall ones need to go. It’s just not attractive with that extra fabric hanging from the sides.
- Tie-dye outfits: These outfits are good on certain clothing items but have been ‘out’ for a while as the design is just off.
- Animal prints: Jolynneshane states that animal prints have been out of fashion forever, adding, that it reminded her of the old Seinfeld line: ‘There is good naked, and it is bad naked…’
