Everyone is embracing modern makeup trends to improve their appearance with defined and flawless effects. One of these trends is the sunset blush look. A bright blush look that mimics the gorgeous shades of a sunset on your cheeks, resulting in a meaningless look.
According to GOOP, blush is a hot summer trend with two variations: boyfriend blush, inspired by the flush after a run, and sunset blush, inspired by the beautiful beauty of sunsets. Both are simple to apply and include sheer, buildable, skin-softening ingredients, making them great for producing simple glowing looks.
Medium provides a guide to achieving a seamless sunset blush:
- Cleansing your skin: Use a mild cleanser to eliminate any impurities and establish a clean base.
- Hydrating your skin: Put on a moisturising lotion and a lightweight primer to ensure that your skin is well-hydrated and that your makeup stays on all day.
- Apply primer: Employ a lightweight primer to create a smooth and even surface.
- Applying foundation and concealer: Achieve a uniform base by using a foundation with light to medium coverage and concealer to hide any imperfections or dark circles.
- Blush colour selection: Apply various shades to replicate the colour gradient of a sunset.
- Application of blush: Begin with the lightest shade, typically pink or coral, and blend it upward toward the temples.
- Blending: Use a soft blush brush to gradually intensify the colour.
- Highlighting and adding radiance: Put on a shimmery highlighter to the high points of your face and blend it with the blush.
- Setting your makeup: Apply a setting spray with a dewy or hydrating finish to lock in your makeup and avoid heavy powders.
