Fashion meets the fashionable at the South African Fashion week opening party.
Lootlove
We adore this worn two-tone hat worn by Lootlove. It just goes to show how necessary an accessory is when aiming to elevate a simple outfit.
K Naomi
K Naomi was elegant in all black. The leather crop top paired with a sheer lined maxi skirt was a great choice for the event.
Thando Thabethe
Thando was all kinds of sexy in a jumpsuit, with a cheeky cleavage exposing cut.
Omuhle Gela
This outfit was off balance. The box cut top and flared pants were on trend individually, but overwhelmed her frame as an ensemble.
Weza Solange
Weza got this all wrong. There was far too much going on with dress and the neck tie scarf was completely unnecessary.
Jessica Nkosi
Jessica was a Grecian goddess in a flowing maxi dress. The colours, detail and boob tube cut all looked stunning on her.
Lerato Kganyago
It’s safe to say that some items are best left for the runway where the vision can be appreciated correctly. Although it was the Fashion Week opening party, this outfit was over the top and confusing.
Pearl Modiadie
Glam, experimental and memorable are the perfect words to describe Pearl’s dress. She deserves a round of applause for pulling this off.
Khanya Mkangisa
Khanya’s petitie frame could’ve been shown off in something a bit more dazzling. Her dress was a very safe and average choice. It’s not every day that celebs get to be really adventurous with their outfits, so it would’ve have been nice to see her pushing the boundaries – especially at an event of this nature.
Dineo Moeketsi
The spray paint detail of Dineo’s blazer gave it an edgy touch. It was bold without being too obvious which is always a great thing.
Boity
Boity understood the concept of Fashion week and that the aim is to be different. From clothing to hair, this was a whole new look for her and we loved it.
Nomzamo Mbatha
Nomzamo left us rather underwhelmed. The grieving wife look does not sit well on her.
Lerato Moloi
This dress was misplaced, it was something we would expect to see at a luncheon rather than at a fashion opening party. A few statement pieces would have done it more justice.
Roxy Burger
This asymmetrical draped piece was so well suited for Roxy. Although there isn’t a lot going on with this dress, it spoke volumes.
Nomuzi Mabena
Nomuzi seems to have 2 standard looks: If it’s not loud prints, it’s skin tight leather. 2015 needs to be the year where she starts to step out of the box and blow us away with something new.
Maps Maponyane
Props to Maps to not wearing a suit. We like this semi-casual side of him.
Fix Moeti
This was a well rounded look, her printed pants are well complimented with a simple blouse and nude heels.
Cyprian Ndlovu
Cyprian definitely has an eye for fashion, he is yet to disappoint and we hope it stays that way. Everything about this outfit works.
Akhumzi
Akhumzi wore his kaftan well, the only thing we would’ve change would be the sneakers.
Aron Moloisi
We can never fault a suit on a man, especially if it sits well and is tailored correctly.
Sammy Sosa & Ms Cosmo
Sammy looks stunning, we want every piece of her outfit. This dress on Ms Cosmo would’ve looked so much better on a different colour. Sometimes black can be quite drab.
Tema Sebopedi
Cute dress, wrong event.
