The 2017 MTV VMA (Video Music Awards) went down over the weekend. As per usual, our fave celebs showed up ready to slay on the blue carpet.

We were disappointed by Nicki Minaj’s outfit choice. Latex at an awards ceremony is not a good look.
2. Amber Rose
Muva looked stunning in a sheer dress. The brown hair looks good on her too.
3. Teyana Taylor
Teyana paid homage to Janet Jackson in this simple yet iconic ensemble.
4. Remy Ma
Nicki Minaj’s nemesis, Remy Ma showed up in an interesting floral jumpsuit. We get the idea, we’re just not sure it was executed well.
5. Yara Shahidi
Yara Shahidi wowed in an asymmetrical draped-gold gown. It was simple, age-appropriate and ladylike.
6. Keyshia Cole
Keyshia Cole chose all-black in a beaded gown. She paired elegance and fierce perfectly.
7. Lil Mama
Lil Mama was the perfect definition of summer glam in a red flowy number.
8. Cardi B
We loved the structure and detail of Cardi B’s jumpsuit. She was one of our best dressed celebs of the night.
9. Joan Smalls
Joan Smalls pulled off an androgynous and chic look in a tuxedo dress.
10. Christina Milian
A very tan Christina showed off her gams in this beautiful grey frock.
11. Mel B
Mel B left us starry-eyed for all the right reasons in a shimmery midi dress. The statement writing, colour combinations and sequins were all bang on-trend.
12. Somizi
Our very own Somizi Mhlongo brought all the heat to the event, and dazzled in an all-white, deep plunge outfit and dramatic hair. Yes Somgaga, yes
