by Bongiwe Tshiqi

Award show equal celeb spotting and fashion. Let’s take a peek at who wore what at the SAFTAs which took place this past Sunday.

1.Nthati Moshoeshoe

Beautiful, appropriate and flattering are the three words we’d use to describe this gown.

2. Thando Thabethe

The peplum detail was not exaggerated and the touch of blue gave it a glam finish.

3. Manaka Ranaka

We’re definitely not feeling this outfit at all.  A pair of heel and a blouse would’ve done wonders.

4. Minnie Dlamini

Minnie served us award winning style. She looked magical in both her gowns.

5. Dineo Moeketsi

Burnt orange is a great colour on Dineo. Everything about her was flawless.

6. Chiedza Mhende

All that glitters is gold as proven by Chiedza. Sister slayed all over the red carpet.

7. Mampho Brescia

Mampho’s look was perfection. She radiated all shades of elegance and we were impressed.

8. Lorna Maseko

This outfit gets a no from us. The top half was stunning but it seems as though the designer lost their way towards the bottom half.

9. Fikile “Fix” Moeti

We see the potential and vision behind her gown but it fell short of the wow factor.

10. Thembi Seete

Can we please get an explanation as to what exactly the idea was for the gown because we were beyond confused when we caught a glimpse of it. There was way too much going on and we were left disappointed.

11. Letoya Makhene

Letoya’s beauty is so captivating she doesn’t have to do much for us to stare at her. She was effortlessly stunning in print.

12. Boity Thulo

Boity underwhelmed on serious levels. Her caped jumpsuit did absolutely nothing for us. *yawn*

13. Khanyi Mbau

Have we not seen Khanyi in something like this before? For some reason we had a flashback moment.

IMG_1389

14. Liesl Laurie

Our Former Miss SA also chose the mustard route and dazzled in a skin tight creation.

IMG_1404

15. Terry Pheto

Terry sweetened up our mood in pastel pink.

IMG_1412

16. Mmatema Moremi

This dress was a snooze and the flower detail did nothing to lift it.

IMG_1432

17. Tumi Morake

We tend to forget that a little goes a long way and here is a perfect example of that. The colour and fit was great but it really didn’t need the added piece of fabric.

18. Brenda Ngxoli

Yes to the shoes, yes to the suit….Classy and chic looks good on Brenda.
