Have you ever experienced a time where you just ate, then a few minutes later you feel hungry again. Almost like you have not eaten a single thing yet, well that happens to most of us as we are consuming foods that are unhealthy and thus not filling our bodies as they should.
According to research, there are foods that will just make you more hungry and leave you wanting more.
Below are some of those unhealthy food that you should ditch and replace with healthy snacks or meal
- Bagels and Croissants
This may seem like the perfect option in terms of size, looks and taste extremely good. However, it is not ideal to eat as it is made out of white sugar and flour. It does not contain any fiber or nutrients which therefore causes you to feel hungry again.
- Donuts
All types of donuts, even vegan, are bad for you as they are fried when made. There is a load of sugar that increases calories without any nutrition. The white flour breaks down quickly into sugar and the glaze adds more to spike and crash your blood sugar. Sugar and flour combined without any nutrients will have you feeling hungry again in no time.
- Muffins
Having a muffin or cake for breakfast is not a wise choice.
In terms of nutrition, there isn’t much. They’re both full of white flour, sugar, and fat which makes it the perfect way to pack in the calories without satisfying your hunger.
- White Rice
According to research white rice can spike and then crash your blood sugar, which makes you hungry again. It is best to choose basmati rice or brown rice as they are not likely to cause that roller coaster reaction and should therefore not be overcooked.
- Surgery cereals
Surgery cereals are a scum let just call it as it is especially the ones labeled “reduced sugar”
According to research artificially sweetened foods can affect your blood sugar and actually make you hungrier. This may be because when you get the sweet taste without the calories, your body is still looking for those calories
- Egg white
It is not the brightest idea to just eat the egg white in hope you will lose calories.
That’s because the yolk is nature’s “complete protein” thanks to amino acids, which your body uses to build cells. And recent research shows that the amount of saturated fat and cholesterol in a whole egg isn’t likely to be bad for you.
