Former Big Brother participant, publicist and HHP’s wife, Lerato Sengadi is not afraid to experiment with her hair and we love her for that. Here are a few ways that she always manages to slay in every hairstyle.

1. Not everyone can pull off the short bangs, but she does this with ease.
2. The big curly hair looks great on the fashionista.

3. We love how the bangs are not straight or flat; the scruffy twist, make the hair stand out.
4. Relevant, trendy and cute; this look is versatile as it can be worn formally and casually.

5. Bantu knots are great because they are a way of curling your braids. So, it’s Bantu knots today and curls tomorrow.

6. Bob hard braids are timeless and never go out of style. They look great on Lerato.
7. Afro-kinky dread braids are so nice and have that natural look to them.
8. Lerato carries the grey hair trend comfortably. Let’s just say the up do is her thing; channelling her Boom Shaka.

9. A simple, straight back looks great on the socialite.
For the longest time I grew up thinking boys and girls are equal, that the only difference was just the physical. But slowly as I grew older I realized that society does not think so, that we as women are inferior, weaker & should always be meek & mild. I remember doing Big Brother Africa Season 2. I went in there being my loud, colorful & OPINIONATED self. Little did I know that outside of the incubated world of the BBA house there was as an entire campaign against me. Not because I was a bad person with loose morals but because there was a group of people who felt that as a woman, especially an African woman, I shouldnt be opinionated, drink, talk back etc. but all the above was acceptable for men to do. So because of my gender I could not be me…. Be 100% myself?! We see this kind of discrimination towards woman in so many shapes and forms: u can’t dress the way you want because you might be sexually assaulted. You choose to be intimate with more than one person you get called a derogatory name. You don’t earn the same as your male counterpart yet you do the same job. You earn more money than your partner, that leads to tensions in your home. Woman and children are classed in one category… Why? We are far from weak! So to all my strong goddesses out there, Don’t ever let ANYONE make you feel some type of way about being a Queen!! There is nothing more beautiful. Smile & take over the world! And do it all in denim… Because Denim Doesn’t Discriminate! #JetDenim I love being me, I love being a woman, I Love Lerato! 10. Lerato carries the side cornrow with the beads at the bottom well, reminding us of the late Miriam Makeba.
11. The size of this braids are manageable and hairline-safe. They look like low maintenance.
