Towards the end of the year you might notice that it gets a little harder keeping up with your daily routine or you even lose motivation because of end-of-the-fatigue
End year burn out or end year fatigue as some may call it, is according to Psychreg, a real phenomenon causing people to feel tired, irritable and overwhelmed as the year draws to a close.
Some symptoms of end year burnout may include:
- Lack of concentration
- Forgetfulness
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Tiredness
- Boredom
- Insomnia
As the year draws to an end, studies show that it is normal for people to start feeling less productive, irritable and like no amount of rest can help them feel less tired or is good enough.

Skills Academy, a fully accredited college suggest these tips in order to help prevent year end fatigue:
- Speak to your manager, be open with them about what you are going through and what you are currently experiencing. Hopefully, if your manager is understanding they will try to meet you halfway by reducing your workload to lessen the pressure.
- Avoid skipping breaks, sometimes all you need is to catch a break. Take breaks in between working. Take your tea and lunch break, that time could make a big difference
- Sleep, Make time in your schedule to sleep. It is okay to have a lazy day, where you do absolutely nothing. You deserve some rest.
- Seek professional treatment, you could visit the doctor for physical illness or body aches. If you are overwhelmed and feel stressed, you could seek help from a psychologist.
