Detox Juices

Holidays are over and getting back or started onto a healthy routine may seem like a steep hill to climb. Detoxing your body does not mean starving yourself, but getting rid of all the unwanted substances in your body. TV and radio presenter Anele Mdoda and Survivor SA: Maldives runner-up Letshego Zulu share green juices you can make at home.

Letshego Zulu’s Juice

  • 2 Granny Smith apples
  • 3 kiwi fruit
  • A handful of spinach
  • A touch of ginger

“Remember, when you juice, you need to consume immediately because as soon as the juice mixes with the air, it oxidises. Juicing is best for those who struggle to get their daily intake of fruits and veggies. But, don’t get me wrong, you still need to eat fruits and veggies. It’s best to take the juice on an empty stomach, 15–30 minutes before a meal.” Letshego Zulu
