The new Toyota Fortuner GR- S (short for GR-Sport) will soon make its way to South African shores and if you find yourself in the market for a brand-new vehicle then this is definitely one to look out for.

The news was first confirmed by the prestigious automotive company, Toyota South Africa Motors, towards the end of last year when it was revealed that the vehicle will be launched during the first quarter of 2025.

With March officially being a month away, the introduction of the new variant comes with much expectation and promise. To date, this SUV has been quite a popular choice among South Africans with many opting for the Fortuner due to its spacious design, elevated height as well as its excellent performance on off-road trails.

“Building upon the strong credentials that made Fortuner a household name, the new GR-S version will come with more power and style to complement its exceptional off-road capabilities and versatility. TSAM believes that the new offering will take the legendary Fortuner to new heights,” explains Toyota South Africa Motors.

Meanwhile, the company added that the new variant will boost several new and advanced features.

These will include enhanced sport-inspired features and aesthetics, an aggressive stance as well as performance-focused upgrades. True to its DNA the Fortuner GR-S will continue to be designed to be bold and conquer any terrain.
